In Marjorie’s Wake

A viewing of this hi-definition, award-winning documentary, which examines the many ways in which the St. Johns River of Florida has shaped culture, literature, art, and music over time. Re-creating a historic trip made by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings in 1933, the film captures Rawlings’ determination to pay more attention to nature. Film at 1 p.m. followed by question and answer session with Bill Belleville, author and co-producer of the film, and Leslie Poole, adjunct professor in the Environmental Studies Department at Rollins College and re-creator of the historic trip.
