Comic Con Revolution West Palm Beach

Recently, The Event Magazine attended the Comic Con Revolution in West Palm Beach. This was the first time that it was held down here and it was pretty well put together. A charity group brought in the 1989 Batmobile, you could get a picture with it for $5 or in it for $10. That was super cool. There were also scenes where you could get a picture either in a GI Joe scene, in the original captain’s chair from Star Trek or in a scene from Star Trek. They had a display for an Escape room where a person would be put in a chair, in a small container and they would need to answer questions to get out. This was very unique item. Another item at the con was the new Tomb Raider movie coming out which had pictures with Lara Croft.

The panels were great and were fun to go to. We enjoyed hearing the stories and ideas and the fans at each one enjoyed them.

The guests themselves were great for a first year. Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti were solid and hope to see them again in the futureThey would sign three things for free but would charge $5 after that, which is very reasonable. Most of the other guests didn’t charge. All the guests were easy to talk to and each made the show a nice experience.

Overall, this convention was well done. Like most first time conventions down here, there are areas that it needs to improve on, but as the con grows and evolves, we can only see it getting better each. We had a great experience and hope to be invited each and every year. In the end, we give this convention 4 caps out of 5. For more information, go to www.comicconrevolution.com/westpalmbeach/.
