June Hammock Happenings

Guided Tours Now Available for Families and Individuals
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is now offering guided tours for families and individuals. Advanced reservations are required through the City of Boca Raton’s registration website, Webtrac. If you do not have a WebTrac account, please see instructions.

Naturalist-guided tours will last approximately an hour and a half. Participants will tour the Butterfly Garden on the way to the shaded Ashley Trail loop, with a stop in the authentic Seminole Chiki with breathtaking views of the Intracoastal Waterway. We will see some of our patients in the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility and get an up-close look at the colorful fish in our four large outdoor aquariums.

Participants have the option to wear facial coverings. We recommend following social distancing when applicable and following CDC guidelines is encouraged. Restrooms available on-site. Parts of the walking tour take place on a mulched trail. For more information, including accessibility options, call (561) 544-8605.

Our boardwalk through the Coastal Hammock Forest is open and accessible every day from 7:00 am – sunset. Access and parking for the boardwalk is currently only available south of Gumbo Limbo’s main entrance from the Alan C. Alford Red Reef Family Golf Course parking lot located at 1221 North Ocean Boulevard. Hourly parking rates apply.

For everyone’s safety, access to the rest of Gumbo Limbo’s property will only be via registered tours and programs while portions of our Nature Center and outdoor decking remain under construction.
