Hollywood ArtsPark Experience is a free concert series celebrating the vibrant cultures of South Florida, held in the ArtsPark at Young Circle.
Dubbed ‘LA’s house band,’ Chicano Batman, performing live on Sunday, May 5th at 7PM, is an atypical alt-rock quartet, blending Brazilian Tropicalía with early ’70s psychedelic soul and the romantic pop of old school Latin bands. The legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band, performing live on Saturday, May 11th at 8PM, is a revered New Orleans tradition, who have been a major influence on New Orleans music since 1977.

Gold Coast Jazz
The Broward Center, Gold Coast Jazz presents the South Florida debut of the Tamir Hendelman Trio. An Israeli-born award-winning jazz pianist Hendelman began keyboard studies at age 6, moved to the U.S. in 1984 and won Yamaha’s national keyboard competition two years later. Aside from being the pianist for the Jeff Hamilton Trio, Hendelman has performed with an “A” list of outstanding vocalists including Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, James Moody, Tierney Sutton, Gladys Knight, John Pizzarelli and Quincy Jones. He was featured on Natalie Cole’s “Still Unforgettable” and on Jackie Ryan’s “You and the Night and the Music.” Tamir leads his own trio which includes Alex Frank (Bass) and Dean Koba (Drums). Tamir’s trio will perform selections from his recent CD’s Playgrounds and Destinations, with music by Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen and Herbie Hancock and more. The South Florida Sports Card Show has a new home for 2019! We have moved into a larger room conveniently located at the Sawgrass Inn & Conference Center in Plantation, FL, just west of Ft. Lauderdale.
The show features 40+ sold out tables of sports cards and memorabilia with a wide variety of dealers offering everything from vintage cards to modern cards to supplies.
