Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball of soil. These beautiful and decorative plants bring an organic and natural touch to planting orchids, succulents, and other ornamental plants.

$60 + $30 material fee payable to instructor.

Observe the beauty and art of Japanese flower arranging by Ikenobo instructor, Kaoru Vrana, and Sogetsu instructor, Chieko Mihori. Admire the beautiful arrangements with orchids by the Morikami Ikebana students.

Lecture: Madama Butterfly

Join Catherine Hughes, Director of Education & Community Engagement at Palm Beach Opera, as she unveils the cultural sources of the Palm Beach Opera’s Madama Butterfly. This includes a koto demonstration by Yoshiko Carlton as well as musical performances from Madama Butterfly by a Palm Beach Opera resident artist.
