March Hammock Happenings

Sea Turtle Awareness Month

Sea turtle nesting season starts March 1st!  You can celebrate sea turtles and ocean conservation all month while exploring our beautiful City.  Learn how you can be a “Sea Turtle Superhero” while visiting Red Reef Park.  Test your know-how on the “Forest Riddle Walk” along Gumbo Limbo Nature Center’s coastal hammock boardwalk trail.  Be inspired by learning about sustainable lifestyle choices along A1A.  The journey continues at Boca Raton Spanish River Library’s outdoor “StoryWalk” and at the Downtown branch’s newest photography exhibit “Into the Blue,” by Max Blakesberg.  Don’t miss Gumbo Limbo’s month of virtual programs.  From our Little Wonders home activity kits, to virtual Animal Adventures Camp, we can keep your kids engaged all month long!  Don’t miss our live, behind-the-scenes tours of our Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility on social media.  Check out our website  to keep up to date on all of our Sea Turtle Awareness Month opportunities!
